  • 1988

    NEMSCO was founded by Pedro Diaz & David Callender to serve the greater South Louisiana industrial market. Facilities include small warehouse with a single office.

  • 1990

    Corporate offices relocated to 11048 Cloverland Avenue.

  • 1992

    IEM designates NEMSCO as an authorized US distributor.
    Puerto Rico warehouse and sales office opened.

  • 1993

    NEMSCO begins stocking IEM medium voltage motors.
    The first formal national marketing of IEM motors takes place.

  • 1994

    Nationally known C.F. Steele Supply Company is acquired by NEMSCO.

  • 1995

    Local EASA repair facility James Electric is acquired by NEMSCO, complementing our new motor product offering by providing motor modification & repair services.

  • 1996

    General Electric designates NEMSCO as a Flagship electric motor distributor.

  • 1997

    12,000 square foot climate controlled warehouse is built to house
    all NEMSCO new motor inventory.

  • 1998

    Critical motor storage and preventative maintenance services are offered for the first time.

  • 1999

    First nationwide large motor advertising campaign instituted in Electrical Apparatus. Repair shop begins manufacturing form coils in-house.

  • 2002

    NEMSCO becomes an Executive Flagship Distributor for GE Motors

  • 2005

    Toshiba Large Motor Stock and Vertical Inline Stock added.

  • 2008

    Regional Office opened in Beaumont, TX with local inventory and sales support.

  • 2007

    NEMSCO becomes a distributor of North American Electric, Inc. motors.

  • 2012

    Pedro Diaz retires and David Callender takes over as President & CEO of NEMSCO.

  • 2016

    Regional Office opened in Lake Charles, LA with local inventory and sales support.

  • 2018

    NEMSCO celebrates 30 years in business.

  • 2019

    Regional Office opened in Houston, TX with local inventory and sales support.
